Notes
The chassis markings have usually been painted over and with the exception of the 4 and 8 Litres will need scraping.
The chassis number is not always stamped on the gear box front cross member in the 3 and 4 1/2 Litres, nor the engine number always on the magneto cross shaft housing.
The chassis number can also sometimes be found on the front axle beam and on the top of the rear axle nose piece but as these parts are easily changeable they are not conclusive.
"S" after the engine number indicates a Service replacement engine.
"SS" after an engine number indicates the Super Sports engine as fitted to the 9' chassis. In 1926 the specification of this engine became the Standard Speed Model engine.
