"Clare Hay's superb new history of the Bentley 8 Litre has just arrived, and featured this remarkable picture of a vertical H J Mulliner bodied saloon. The flywheel is so heavy it has to be carried out with the crankshaft held vertical (they are tapered together and have to be lapped properly). So rather than remove the engine, he chose to stand the car on its nose to fit! MW" — Classic & Sports Car, 20 December 2011
