Registration No. GX 6162

3 Position DHC. By Tickford/Mead. Finished in Black with black mohair hood and red hide interior. This car has been with the same owner since 1948 when he purchased it as a Mulliner Limousine. The main part of the coachwork was built by Tickford for the MG Motor Company. As this was surplus to requirements, the current owner purchased it and commissioned Richard Mead to fit the coachwork to the shortened chassis. Lowering the radiator and finishing the coachwork as seen today. This work was completed in 1953 and the car has been used every year since but very little in more recent years, hence our client's decision to part with this fabulous motor car. Up until the early 1980s, the owner maintained the car himself after which time Marque specialists and ourselves over the last 3 years have taken over this work.
