"Looking through my late father's photo album, he owned this car for a number of years. His name was RAC Sumner (Bobby). He describes it as a Mulliner Saloon. I also attach a copy of his notes on the car.

"Dear Mona, I was interested to see the pictures of the 1928 Bentley Saloon, Chassis XR3335 in your recent newsletter. The original car was fitted with an open 4 seater Vanden Plas body No. 1526. It was exhibited by Bentley Motors at the Olympia show in 1928. The car was re-bodied as a saloon in the 1950s. This 4.5 saloon was metamorphosed back to a short chassis Vanden Plas styled open 4 seater sold by Coys June 1991. In 1994 ( believe) it was sold and shipped to the USA where it was raced.
