| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1523 with a 12'6"; Sports Coupe; black/blue; 9/1928. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1523." Comment on this car in a book by Johnny Green: "6 1/2 litre Bentley Drop-head Coupe incorporating dickey seat of exceptional comfort, the lid of which was spring loaded and could be opened by the driver releasing a catch from within. Body 1523, painted black and blue, September 1928. 12'6" wheelbase, chassis WT2263." |
