"The last owner's story just makes this car:
Bought by him in 1953 as a crashed car front end and amazingly on the day of delivery they managed to have yet another; this time a rear end smack can you wonder why he bought her! Well, in those days vintage Bentleys were so cheap, this was the best way to have a ready supply of spare parts (well he was competing with his other Bentley and this seemed a good idea).
Having decided that after racing for some 50 odd years, it was time to hang up his racing gloves he sold his Bentley 4½, litre racer and made a decision to rebuild the immortal remains of this Bentley.
Although some of her vital organs were missing this exceptional restoration includes a full engine rebuild on her original engine no UK 3280 by Abbot (one of the best engineers to get his hand dirty on vintage Bentley mechanics).
Other work included rebuilt back axle, gearbox brakes, etc...
The body is by H M Bentley and Partners and would have been fitted in the 30s. Not original to this car but taken off another Bentley, it is very correct and restored.
Needs running in as only 800 miles since rebuild finished.
Excellent value, please phone or e-mail.
Get on your bike as I think first who sees will buy.
