Lord Monro's pride and joy, a 1926 vintage Bentley worth £55,000, has been left to his eldest son Seymour Monro. This also includes the private registration plate 'SM 4' which is worth £15,000. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1263. Rebuilt with eng RL 3427 ex ch. FB 3324 and D Box - SR 1407 was in ch. FB 3324. Re-reg SM 4. Reg no. YO 3997 now on ch. 923." |
