1928 Bentley 4½ Litre Saloon (Weymann)
"Active During the 1940s
Photographed after competing near Nelson. This 4½ litre, chassis SL3065, was originally registered in December 1927 to Mrs Cholmeley as a Gurney Nutting saloon, but known here with a Maythorn coupé body. A 3 litre engine and radiator were fitted later, along with a Vanden Plas style tourer body, and after Dave Bowman’s and Bob Beardsley’s ownerships it passed to Brian Wright, who has reinstalled a 4½ litre engine and gearbox. The 3 litre is chassis 1060/613, 100 mph radiator, now in Wellington."
