1926 Bentley 3 Litre ST Coupe
Chassis No. RT1535
Engine No. SR1418
Registration No. YP 766
My father, John Spill, owned this car briefly from around 1946 to 1947 (before trading it in on a 4.5 GU 8136 which is now owned in Western Australia).
The 3 litre was recorded as his on Page 21 of a September 1946 BDC magazine.
He may have removed the body as I did have (pre computer problems) an amusing email from a navy chum of his (later to become Admiral Lee) about a trip they did in the car without bodywork and of the passenger trying not to rest his arm on the exhaust pipe that went close past the passenger seat. If I find more info I'll share it.
I did not come on the scene until 1951 and discovered the BDC magazines at my father's farm a year or two back (he passed away in 2007 and sold his 4.5 in 1985 to Owen Bourke of Sydney).
