"Bentley RT1534, Reg YN 2534 came to Australia in 1982 and my father Dick bought it in 1984. It passed to me when he died in 1997.... If you require any further information - I have compiled a reasonable history of RT 1534"

(One anomaly is that this image definitely shows the 2-seater bodywork but the information from Michael Hay suggests it was only fitted in 1936. Experience of picture libraries suggests that if a date is mentioned it is usually pretty accurate.)

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1273. Engine was 1186 ex ch. 1185 now XL 3109 ex ch. XL 3109. 2 seater by H M Bentley fitted 1936. Now In Australia." |
