1929 Bentley 4½ Litre 4-seater
"Dear Mr McLellan, I've been sorting through my late father's vintage car correspondence and find it impossible not to stop and read all sorts of exchanges between his fellow owners of W.O. Bentleys.

He owned a number during the '40s, preferring them to the tinware that was emerging post war. After a break of a few years he started looking again and enquired about MT 1846. However, he did not buy it but instead bought the 1929 ex- Prince Imeretenski 4 1/2 tourer* (body by G Wylder) from Ken Hart. From the letter I have found (above) MT 1846 was owned in Feb 1968 by Mr D F Ide.

For your information, my dad also owned AG 2464 and UU 6505 but am unable to precisely date which years during '40s or even '50s.

*see Bentley Past & Present, Rivers Fletcher, page 98/99.

Hope this helps fill in some gaps."
