This car was owned by Owen Taylor from 1957 to 1961.
"I bought the car from a garage in Slough for £230. After the trip to the Loire the engine was rebuilt (crank regrind etc). I had the car painted white with green chassis in return for free garaging while I was abroad. I sold it when the back axle failed and I was posted abroad again. The axle was done by Hoffman and Burton but I do not know whether the 4.5 litre axle was installed then. I do know that the new owner was taken aback by the cost of the work (which he had agreed to pay)! Best car I have ever owned."
