"1926 BENTLEY 3 LTR SPEED MODEL BY PARK WARD
Registration Number: YP 8622 Chassis Number: RE1382 Engine Number: RE1384
This is one of the most original Speed Model 3 litres that we have ever had for sale.
Interestingly enough that, although shown in the history records as a saloon this was never fitted, so even at Bentleys a file clerk could make a mistake. The history file is unusual as nearly every bill from new is with the car.
Amongst the paperwork I found the original log book from 1926 and it confirms the open tourer body as fitted when new. Fitted with a high touring ratio back axle, effortless long distance hops are made without fuss.
Should at any time you feel that more power is wanted, the excellent news is as being a late type single sump engine (same as 4½ litre), conversion to 4½ litre would be no prob.

"1926 Bentley 3 Litre Red Label Speed Model
Registration Number: YP 8622 Chassis Number: RE1382 Engine Number: RE1384
Though the factory records show this speed model 3 litre having a Freestone and Web Sports Weyman saloon body fitted when new we can find no other fixing body holes which probably means that a either a change of mind when ordering her or body swap when almost new.
This is a late model Speed 3 litre with single sump engine so, should at any time the new owner want to convert to 4½ litre this would be easily achievable. This Bentley has a super history fully documented with an excellent service record. Fitted with a high touring ratio, effortless long distance hops are made without fuss."
