"PM3254 is a Vanden Plas tourer delivered new to Australia, one of three 4½ Litres to be sent there as new. It was fitted with engine MF3166 and a C Type gearbox, C6323, both still in the car. The car was imported back to the UK in 2016 and conservation work was carried out by VBE Restorations and by James Pearce over a period of two years. The original Vanden Plas coachwork has survived also, the original colour - maroon - (one of the three standard VDP colours available at the time the car was built) has been reinstated from the BRG it had acquired. Apart from new carpets, hood and some leather work, the car is entirely original, but it is thought the fabric of the body may have been replaced. It has been registered in the UK as XR 3254 - a twenties London registration."
