Chassis PL3481 was originally fitted with a saloon body and registered in 1929. It was crashed in the late forties, and the damaged car was eventually purchased by Tom Gibson, who owned several damaged Bentleys, and remained in storage for some time. In the 1970's the chassis was separated from its axles and engine, and was subsequently rebuilt as a two seater supercharged 4 1/2, using heavy crank engine XT3629 and the 1930's body from chassis MS3949, an original blower. Because the original Registration could not be traced, the car was reregistered SV 4904.
