"Long hood Vanden Plas, sporting 4 seaters, black bodywork, January 1928. Belonged to Christopher Thomas Hope (first owner C.T. Hope). Had run hill climbs in G.B. as he used to say. The last known whereabouts of this car was in Hope's house in my country (Argentina) in C.T. Hope's hands where he died in the 1970s."

More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1451 with a Sporting 4-seater; extended bonnet 9"; black; 1/1928. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1451. Rebuilt on new frame, in Argentina 2/29."
