These photographs, by Strother McMinn, are from the article "The Real Bentley 4.5" in Car Classics magazine, November 1978.

Text in article reads: This 4½-liter Bentley is owned by Phil Hill and was originally restored by Amherst Villiers, who designed the blower set up for the Bentleys, at the request of Sir Henry Birkin. During restoration, some changes were made to this car, because of missing or unusable parts, such as the fenders. You will note that the front fender cross section is a constant uninterrupted curve on the full-size car, while the fender on the model has a raised portion running the length of the fender.

The first 25 production Supercharged 4½ Litre cars where Chassis Nos. SM3901-SM3925, all with "smooth-case" blowers. The next 25 were Chassis Nos. MS3926-MS3950 and had "rib-case" blowers.

Production Blower Bentleys had handbrake handles made from rectangular stainless steel, whereas the five 4½ litre race cars for Tim Birkin had the "H" section handle, but were drilled for lightness.
