The first 25 production Supercharged 4½ Litre cars where Chassis Nos. SM3901-SM3925, all with "smooth-case" blowers. The next 25 were Chassis Nos. MS3926-MS3950 and had "rib-case" blowers.
Production Blower Bentleys had handbrake handles made from rectangular stainless steel, whereas the five 4½ litre race cars for Tim Birkin had the "H" section handle, but were drilled for lightness.

Although we have restored many blowers over the years, this car stood out beyond all others for its grace and beauty. Brought to us as a totally complete, rusting mess of a barn find, it became in my eyes the best blower today. Interesting challenges where the paint finishes.
The body had originally been painted in a satin egg shell finish, which proved difficult to produce and very difficult to spray, however it looked magnificent.

I believe this to be MS3935, the Supercharged Bentley that was saved from a fire that broke out at the transport depot of Marston Road Services on Lightbody Street and Great Howard Street, Liverpool, England in 1934. It was owned by Mr. John Donaldson-Hudson of Cheswardine Hall, Market Drayton, UK. Read more.
