"I believe this was my father Frank Sowden's first Bentley. We lived in Yorkshire. My father would have had this car for a couple of years, before selling the it to a guy in Hawaii, I believe. Frank sold GU 5106 and then purchased a Speed Six, running chassis, and PPB 10, the 8 Litre, YF5006. This would have been in the early 1960s."

I purchased this vehicle in England in 2007 and brought it back to the U.S. So it has been in the U.S. since 2007, not 2006. I should also mention that the coachwork on the car is from a 1928 4½ Litre. The coachwork is from Gill in London. It was put on the body in 2005 by the previous owner.

This photo was taken September 19, 2009 at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.

"I have been turning out some old books and found a 'Bentley instruction book' which is very old and has the chassis number MR3400 written inside on the appropriate page. The book is fragile but complete and printed by Herbert Fitch and Co Ltd. There is a penciled statement that the car 'left works Feb/29'."
