"I bought LT1584 in 1983. It was by then completely in pieces. I would hate anyone to think that I had scrapped the relatively rare Harrison saloon body, but it can be seen from the photo that it was by then a pile of rotten, woodworm ridden scrap wood.

Apparently the car was actually taken off the road in 1938 for some mechanical reason. It remained unused during the War, and then in the 1950s/1960s was stripped down to its constituent parts -- which is how I acquired it.

It was rebuilt over the next ten/twelve years — a period not helped by a house move to the other side of the country. There are some pictures of the car a few years after I completed it, just before I sold it. One of the photos shows the original dealers` plate which had been on the old dashboard."
