I have owned this car since 1984. The LeMans replica body by Edmunds of Plymouth, built about 1960, was removed after purchase. The car is still in chassis form, unrestored and very original. Fascia from original H. J. Mulliner saloon was kept untouched when the tourer was built, just shortened at the ends and is still with chassis, all original cables, etc., attached.

Olle Ljungström bought this car in 1984. All pictures were taken in 1984 at the time of removal of body and chassis, after steam cleaning.

Car was owned by J. N. Gooch Esq., Millwood Manor, Forest Row, Sussex during the 60's up to at least 1971 and I think he had the LeMans replica body made.

"In 1966/7 I used to collect this car from Mr Gooch in Sussex, drive it to the ABPC Studios north of London for it to be used in the filming of The Avengers. I kept it overnight outside my mother's house in South London and would phone up a couple of friends, say "I've got the Bentley" and we would go to our local coffee bar or pub! It always caused quite a stir! (I was only 22 or 23 at the time)

John Steed (Patrick Macnee) couldn't drive it so long shots of the car were often of me wearing a bowler hat.

After driving it many times through London's traffic I can sympathise with Bugatti's somewhat disparaging remark about the cars!

Many fond memories of this car. Would love to drive it again."
