The Batagols bought the car from Lance Dixon in 1994.

"When I bought the car we carefully checked all the major component part numbers and were pleased to confirm that they matched the build sheet records."

"I have fitted the correct headlight since the Sotheby (1990) photos, as well as new Le Mans fuel tank."

"The above information and photographs are from a July 1990 Sotheby's auction catalogue when Lance Dixon took the car to England and decided to sell it. However luckily for us it did not sell and was bought back to Australia when I acquired it a little later on.. (as Lance wanted an AC289 Cobra that I had, so we worked out a deal)."

1975
This car was owned by Lance Dixon for 19 years. He bought the car from the UK in 1975 from David Shute of Taunton who also ran an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 and raced a Ferrari 225 Barchetta.

A new VDP Le Mans body was fitted by Tony Robinson which replaced a 2 seater drop head coupe.
