- A rare matching number example of arguably the very best car ever produced by the great engineering establishment that is Bentley Motors.
- Supplied new to preferred Bentley client Noel van Raalte. Famous in Bentley circles, he owned a number of Bentley including the first production 3 Litre off of the line.
- Still only in its sixth ownership from new, the current owner has had the car totally restored to the highest possible standard copying the 1930 No.2 Team car for Le Mans, GF 8570, where possible, while still retaining its original integrity by Bentley specialist Wayne Huckle.
- No expense has been spared and the attention to detail that has gone into this restoration is clear to see.
- Recently described by a regarded Bentley specialist as ‘Undoubtedly one of the very best Speed Sixes that has ever been available for sale’.

Chassis no: LB2331; Engine no: LB2333; Registration no: GU 6028

Purchased new by Noel Van Raalte (who was owner of the first Bentley and W O Bentley’s first customer) on 12th April 1929 with a Gurney Nutting Weyman saloon body.

Service and ownership records until 1939 showing mileage of 93,552. We have no records of the War years but the vehicle was acquired by Bertie Hopcutt sometime in the 1940s.

Mr. Robert Thomas Cookson (my late father) purchased the car from Mr. Hopcutt circa 1948. He used the car until 1952 when he purchased an 8 litre Bentley. The Speed 6 was stored until 1964 when the body (which was in poor condition) was removed and my father commenced a full overhaul of the car. A new body was built and fitted by H & H and the car was completed in 1986.

The car is completely original, un-modified and remains in the beautiful condition as you see today.

Mileage 119,785 (as of January 2009)
