Comment by user 'junkman': "UW 4887 is the only Steed Bentley that has never been really identified. Judging from the proportions, it is generally assumed to be a 4½ Litre."

"A few weeks ago I received this photo of KL3590 from Anthony Jaques, son of the second owner of the Bentley, he owned it from 1935 until war time. Thanks to John Anderson (Chassis No. 17) who established contact with Mr Jaques I could finally see a full view photo of the car taken before 1950, most interesting. Anthony Jaques writes about the photo:

"My father purchased KL3590 in 1980, it was then very rough but drivable and still wearing its original Harrison body. He restored most of the car and it has belonged to me since ca 2005. All numbers are matching apart from the engine which has been changed, I don't know when. Engine is now NT3132, according to Clare Hay's book also a Le Mans type engine.

"Hi Robert, My brother and I have been going though old family photos. We found a picture of my grandfather's Bentley with him and his sons sitting in it and the note on the back saying it is UW 4887 which when Googled turn out to be Steeds and it lead me to you. The question we have is does it still exist and if so who has it? We would grateful for any information."

"I have a photo of UW 4887 taken approximately in 1954 at a vintage car rally. Somewhere near Buxton. I do have the original negative, if someone wants a better quality image."
