Ordered through Jack Barclays by first owner John Mavrogordato, chassis HF 3195 passed its final factory test on 14th March 1928. Originally supplied with a long bonnet and staggered screen, Bentley records show that the radiator was chromed and Lucas P100 headlights fitted in late 1929. Largely unchanged since its return to the factory in 1929, this 4½ Litre Bentley has a well documented and continuous history from new.

More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1455 with a 4-seater Sports; extended bonnet and staggered screen; 3/1928. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1455. 10/29 plate clutch and P100s fitted. Believed rebodied as Vanden Plas saloon body no.1609 1930. Later rebuilt as Le Mans replica."
