"These photos were taken some nineteen or so years ago, when on my way home I stumbled upon some ‘goings on’ at Dundonald on the way from Belfast to Newtownards. A small number of beautiful old vintage cars and vintage men were assembled at the commemoration ‘pit stop’ for the Ards TT.
The world famous Ards TT was run between 1928 and 1936, and attracted the bigest names in motor racing at the time. It ended in 1936 after eight spectators were killed at the railway bridge and Strangford Arms Hotel after a car left the road. Taken in b/w on T-Max film with my old trusty Minolta x-300. Developed and printed in my dark room (garden shed)."
