Chassis Frame No. FR 2642 with Registration No. UV 4863 was originally supplied to Major G. Heron in August 1929 fitted with a Lancefield Saloon Body (also as stated in Vintage Bentley Book by the President of Bentley Drivers Club of 1984). The Body was build on the Weymann principle of construction as an open 4-seater. This Body had already been removed when the car was sold in 1948. In 1959 the car was sold as a restoration Project, as it fell into disrepair in years before.
The car was eventually restored over a 16 year period between 1979 and 1995 using a replica of the period Vanden Plas Body. The mechnical specification are as original as one would expect."
