"This car, a saloon, was bought by my stepfather, H E Stephens from H M Bentley Motors (1931) in 1931 or 1932.
He was conned by my mother after she had joined a friend who was testing an open 8-litre; I accompanied, as a small boy, on that memorable trip. My mother was an expert driver and we had a set of fish knives to commemorate her second at Brooklands in about 1926, in an Alvis.
It was exchanged for a new Mulliner bodied Bentley built in 1936."
