"I have a B&W photo of UL 4471 parked (I think in Princes Street, Edinburgh in the 1950s). I recall dad was friendly with a gentleman called Selby Howgate from Edinburgh, so it may have been his car. The only other name I can recall from that time was, I think, a Gerald Meade, but he may have been English?"

| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1561 with a Le Mans Sports as used in Ulster 1925 with 25 gall gauge; green; 2/1929. Team car driven by Holder. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "D/7182. Vanden Plas body no. 1561. "Le Mans type chassis" prepared for 1929 Double 12, entered in 1931 RAC Rally." |
