"YU 1178 belonged to and was raced by Harry Smith in the 1960s. Before being shipped to Argentina, Peggy Smith took over the ownership following the death of Harry Smith in his Cooper Climax at an event in 1969.
Its bodywork was designed with the help of Harold Scott Pounds, owner of GO 5629.
It competed mainly at Hill Climbs and Sprint meeting."
