| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1289 with a standard 4-seater Sports; scratched aluminium / red / black; 7/1926. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body. 1289. Engine DE 1217 and reg no. YP 4524 transferred to ch. 707. This chassis rebuilt, re-registered FOM 826 engine HT 1644 ex ch. HT 1639 d/h coupe subsequently broken up chassis DE 1215 built into ch. 829. Engine HT 1644 in ch. LT 1596." |
