| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1284 with a standard 4-seater Sports; scratched aluminium / red; 5/1926. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1284. In Portugal 1927 - 5 m/m off block and hour glass pistons - probably the car referred to on p.187-190 of "The Other Bentley Boys" (MBC edition). Engine DE 1209 now in ch. AP 312." |
