| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1352 with a standard 4-seater Sports; Weymann fabric /red; 1/1927. Team car driven by Birkin. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1352. Accident 4/30 - rec frame fitted. Accident 12/36 - new chassis frame, front axle beam and reconditioned back axle banjo. Frame now HF 3177. Corsica 4 seater then now Vanden Plas 4 seater by H&H." |
