"1927 BENTLEY 3 LTR SPEED MODEL WITH CONTINUOUS HISTORY
Registration Number: OP 6347 Chassis Number: AX1655 Engine Number: BL1624
Price: £ 255000
This should be at the top of your list.
With the continuous history showing just two owners in 50 years and fastidious maintainance to ensure reliable and enjoyable motoring across New Zealand, South Africa and the US (well, they were built to be driven) as well as many a good Bentley Driver’s Club lunch. No stranger to adventure, there is also a well documented article of a journey from Athens to London in 1950s in the hands of Squadron leader John King. She was purchased in 1962 by a well known Bentley enthusiast where she lived alongside his Speed Six and a brand new Bentley S3. By the time he sold her the T Type had come and gone, the S3 was a classic and the Mulsanne was in the showrooms.
A well known vintage Bentley in lovely order, with that magic of continuous history and finished the traditional way in dark green with black wings and chassis.
Still capable of keeping up in modern traffic, with good handling and that very special sound that singles out the 3 Litre.
FITTED WITH OVERDRIVE AND LATE BIG SUMP ENGINE AND SLOPER CARBURETORS.
PLEASE NOTE BEING A LATE SPEED MODEL FROM 1927 SHE HAS THE SAME STEERING AS A 4.5LTR SO VERY LIGHT TO DRIVE.
THIS MAKES HER A VERY DESIRABLE 3 LTR AND WERE ALWAYS WORTH MORE THAN THE EARLY ONES.
Find out what it’s all about by paying a visit to the Fruit Farm."
