"Only Three Owners from New
CHASSIS # AH1482 This car was received by the original owner as a wedding present. In 1987 a well-known German collector purchased this car from the family of the original owner. The current owner purchased it from him in 1997. This is an all original, matching numbers and components car, consistent with Michael Hay's books. It has been well maintained from new and fully restored in the 1980’s. This car was one of the five “Light Tourers” Bentley Motors sold to raise money for their 4.5 liter LeMans project. The car sports its original exquisitely styled one-off May and Jacobs Edwardian touring body This is the only body May and Jacobs ever made for a Vintage Bentley. The car comes with it's original polished aluminum wheel disks fitted over wire wheels.
The original owner replaced the Smiths 5-jet carburetor with twin SU slopers, and brought the engine up to Red Label specifications. In 1997 the car was fitted with a new tonneau, top and side curtains. In 2000 the car received a major engine & radiator overhaul, new brakes (including drums) and was fitted with new tires.
The car is complete with an old style logbook, original English registration and it's original number plates. The car currently has restored knockoffs and hub grease caps instead of the temporary knockoffs and missing grease caps as shown in the pictures. Also the driving lights shown in the pictures have been replaced with more suitable ones. It has a current V5 and the original owners manual that came with the car when new. This car has been driven on many American and European NAVBM, BDC and FIVA rallies."
