| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1244 with a standard 4-seater Sports; grey / green / black; 1/1926. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1244. Showroom demonstrator. Latest type Sports model engine. New type sump. Now 2 seat boat-tail in the Channel lsles reg J 1980 engine LM 1328 ex ch. LM 1340. Engine SR 1419 to 100 MPH "Supersports" specification by Rockell (new) - 106 BHP. Now in ch. ML 1509." |
