"Greetings from Cape Town, First off let me say how much I enjoy getting your newsletter. Thank you. I am the owner of a 4½ litre 1930 short chassis [one of nine] AD3651, engine KM3095. It is fitted with the D-type box and has the large 35 gallon fuel tank. It is still has the original Harrison open body that it was born with. The engine is a heavy crank motor that was factory fitted a year after the first owner took delivery. The car is in very good condition and the engine in good health."

Dear Mr. Lyons,

This is about the vintage Bentley car owned by you — chassis AD3651.

BDC shows this car in your ownership in their records for 2003 and 2006. The Reg no. was stated to be GF 5725 in 2003 which was changed to CA 794 in 2006. Could you please confirm this change of reg. no. and also help us to understand why it was changed (new location?).

Also, Michael Hay's book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997 states that Chassis AD3651 was rebuilt into chassis TN1555 after an accident. Do you know anything about this accident, when it occurred and which chassis was damaged.

Thank you in anticipation for your help in keeping vintage Bentley history alive.
