"Hi, Just seeing this (website) for the first time — Great JOB!

Hay's book about the trans? It had an 'A' box when we got it, NO evidence of any center shift or center brake lever, but we corrected years ago the note that it was shortened from 10'10" to 9' something (not 9" i think) the frame shows no weld/cut change marks at all, and current at 10'10". About 8 years ago we rebuilt the rear, with higher gearing, and went wtih a 'D' box — NICE. The 'A' box from this car has been sold — it went back to the UK, can look up the name if you need it.

We have had this car on all but 2 NAVBM's missed 2000 — the car was on the way to the UK for the big tour..."

"The dates of ownership are very approximate -- but reasonably accurate. I then lived in Harley Street London W1 and the car was garaged in the Mews behind. I used it daily. The three photographs are the only ones I have. Two taken outside our weekend cottage in Finchingfield, Essex. I cannot recall where I was when I got a puncture.

I know that I bought the car for £350? but am not sure what I sold it for. It was sold to a dealer for around £1200?

I have very fond memories of it."

"In early December I sent you 3 photographs of Bentley Reg. No. XW 9350 which I owned between 1963 and 1966. I had found these amongst a pile of old photographs, most of which had not seen the light of day for over 50 years. I am continuing to sift through these photographs and, earlier today, came across some photographs of a rally of vintage Bentleys which was held in Hyde Park, London in 1963 or 1964. They are not very good but may be of some interest."
