The car competed in the Benjafield's 24 Hours at the Algarve International Circuit, Portimão, Portugal, held to mark the centenary of Bentley's inaugural Le Mans victory. The car ran the full distance without mechanical incident.

Sold to Michael Everard Taylor for 10 pounds with the last of his wedding present money, after being found in a field in Richmond Yorkshire. The 3 Litre spent the Second World War ferrying its new owner around on Ministry of Aircraft Production duties (he had been invalided out of the Army following a double dose of pneumonia). The advent of peace saw the family relocate to Rochester, Kent and take up residence on a government surplus motor torpedo boat. Refusing forty times what he paid for it, the vendor's father used 'GB 8075' to move his brood and their possessions to a bricks and mortar home in Iver Heath during the 1950s

Sold to M. Mitchell Jnr of 173 West Scotland Street, Glasgow. Mileage 834. Car competed in the MCC "London to Edinburgh" trial with starting number 158 winning a silver medal. Picture in "The Motor" May 26 1931.

Charles F. Kennedy sold the Bentley to H.W.J. Taylor Esq. of Woodlands House, Trossachs Ballantrae in 1929 before accepting Lord Inchcape's offer for his estates and emigrating to Tasmania the following year.

Vanden Plas body no. 1112 black exterior with thin red line, red upholstery black mohair weather equipment sold by G.M. Gladstone Motors Ltd. Glasgow to Charles F. Kennedy of Finnarts, Ballatrae, N.B. Direct descendant from Hugh Kennedy of Ardstinchar who famously fought for Joan of Arc and is often cited as Scotland's first golfer.

More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1112 with a Standard 4-seater Sports; black; 1/1925. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "New - Eng 855 with Smith's carb. BA 854 FA 416 S/col 850 G/box 417 (A?). Vanden Plas body no. 1112."
