| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1089 with a standard Sports; matt black. It was delivered to Air Commodore Webb Bowen in December 1924. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1089. Rebuilt as 4½ Litre on chassis FS3619 engine XT 3629 ex XT 3629 4½ radiator, bulkhead, body etc. D Box and 6½ Litre back axle." |
