| More Info: | According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 3186; with an Allweather; black egg-shell; basic £275. Car was delivered in May 1922. NOTE: There is a bit of confusion here because Vanden Plas recorded in Nov. 1922 that the same chassis was fitted with Body No. 3216 (same style and color) and delivered to A. Pelham Ford. Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 3186/3216 ?which. Broken up 2/36. Back axle Part in ch. 669." |
