1924 Bentley 3 Litre
"On inspection the chassis numbers have never been over stamped and the chassis shows evidence of having been present in the Gurney Nutting fire of Easter 1924.

Detailed and documented research indicates this car to be what was known as Scrap 2, one of the works breakdown/delivery vans.

From the one photo known to exist of the works van, the body is being re-created.

Engine No 596 that was fitted up until circa 1960 was swapped for engine number 560 which is the very first of the Speed Model engines with the twin slopers.

Other interesting points of note are no guarantee plate ever fitted. Original bulkhead but never drilled to take a guarantee plate.

The filler neck on the fuel tank is designed to take an extension filler neck to reach out to the edge of the flat bed body."
