I have attached a few photos (above) — the sepia pictures are of the car outside our home in Reigate Surrey UK taken probably during the war and the colour pictures are of the restored car when it was in Bristol UK before being sold to Vancouver. The Bristol owner was terribly sorry not to have been able to bring the car for my father to see.!

Body by Park Ward
Engine no. 505; Chassis no. 500; Reg. no. NW 5917
Engine, four-cylinder, overhead camshaft, monobloc, bore 80 mm., stroke 149 mm., capacity 2,996 c.c.: dual magneto ignition: four-speed gearbox, right-hand change: spiral bevel final drive: footbrake on four wheels, handbrake on rear wheels: suspension semi-elliptic front and rear: wheelbase 9ft. 9½in.: tyre size 5.21x21: price new in England (chassis) £925.
This is a rare and completely original example fitted with an unusual dual-cowl four-door touring body in aluminium: there is a second screen to the rear compartment and an inside handbrake (the standard Vanden Plas-bodied four-seaters, of course, mounted this out of doors). It is finished in the original colour scheme of crimson with black wings and the grey leather upholstery is also original. Equipment includes a hood and hood-bag in heavy-quality black leathercloth, a tonneau cover, the original rear carpets and a four-piece screen on which the two top portions open outward. There is also a fire-extinguisher and a Marchal spotlight and dynamo cover/plug holder (this latter not at present fitted) go with the car, as do two manuals -a 1930 reprint of the original instruction book, and Berthon's Technical Facts of the Vintage Bentley.
It has been in the present ownership for 44 years: the original owner is believed to have been the Marquis de Casa Maury. During the latter period it has been driven only by its owner and has never been raced or rallied - concours d'elegance apart. The car has always been kept in a heated garage and condition is described as excellent throughout, apart from some wear and tear in the front trim and some bubbling of the lower windscreen panels, which are possibly the original safety glass. When inspected by Joseph Cockshoot of Manchester (Rolls-Royce and Bentley retailers) in 1968, it recorded 73 per cent efficiency on the footbrake and 55 per cent on the handbrake. All the tyres now fitted are new and two used Avon covers are also included.
