"The information in Hay's book is somewhat misleading: The car was involved in an accident around 1933 and sold for "scrap" but it was recovered and fully restored and rebodied with a VdP style body. I have documentary and photgraphic evidence of that. The car was subsequently completely re-restored in around 1960."
