1922 Bentley 3 Litre

Year : 1922
Make : Bentley
Model : 3 Litre
Body Type : Drophead Coupe with Dickey Seat
Colour : Pale Blue
Trim : Tan Leather

History: This very early 3 Litre Bentley (Chassis No 48) was completed in January of 1922 to the order of Mr Ivor Llewellyn who also owned the first production 3 Litre (Chassis No 3) It was purchased in 1938 and re-bodied as a four seater. More recently it was acquired by noted W.O. Bentley specialist Dick Moss in 1986 and restored. The work included upgrading the car with four wheel brakes. A new drophead coupe body with dickey seat was constructed by Moss and the car’s interior was refinished with beige leather and matching carpets. Chassis No 48 still possesses its original chassis and engine and in more recent times has reacquired its original registration number, that being AX 4139. Beautiful to drive and still in fine condition some twenty five years after its major restoration works, Chassis No 48 is attractive, fun and ready for the next owners motoring pleasure.

Condition: Restored some twenty five years ago and still in fine condition.

Technical Data: Four speed manual gearbox, 4 cylinder in-line engine, 2996cc capacity.

This car is for sale as of July 25, 2012.
