- The Iconic WO Bentley
- Newly built 4.5 Litre engine
- Alloy Bodied with Blade Wings
- Ideal for rallying and touring
This genuine Bentley 3 Litre Red Label Speed model, with desirable alloy body and blade wings, has recently been rebuilt to 3/4.5 specification with a brand new 'bullet proof' 4.5 litre engine, by respected Bentley restorer Robert Laycock.
Still 'running-in', the engine features a new block by John Ambler, with Arias pistons, fully counter balanced crankshaft and Carrillo rods, and 'B' gearbox. This fine example combines the iconic style of the 3-Litre Speed Model and the performance of a 4.5 Litre WO Bentley, and is ideally suited to long distance touring.
A well-documented car, with large history file of invoices and correspondence, and the subject of considerable expenditure with all the right people, over the years, it also appears in a full page colour photo in Richard Bird's Bentley Heritage (page 9) in its former livery of Primrose and Black. For 10 years extensively hill-climbed and rallied, including a trip over the Alps to Italy by a previous owner, this fine example is ready to be campaigned again. Please call for more details and a copy of an Independent Technical Report on this competitively priced example of one of the most desirable of WO Bentleys.

Information received from Mike Tebbett on March 1, 2010:
"A few lines about my dear old 3 litre. Bought as a project from Ray Roberts, and rebuilt by myself over ten years. All mechanical and body work by me, except for crank grinding, remetalling etc. and I did find a nice man who had a set of body timbers to make up the body frame. Ran the car 1989-97, including driving to Italy over the Alps, running the car at hill climbs and sprints, etc... Then it had to go, and I miss it still!! I have forwarded you some photos that you might like to add to the information page on the car. Well done with the site, most interesting..."
