"This vehicle was indeed bought by my Great Grandmother for my Grandfather for use whilst he was up at Cambridge in 1923. I have his bonnet/radiator mascot from the car (Vautour by Max Le Verrier made in Paris 1923) which I would like to repatriate. I believe the vehicle is restored and in India." — Oct 1, 2014
"The original purchaser was my Great Grandmother - Mrs. M.S.Lang, Mingary, Worplesdon Hill, Nr. Woking, Surrey UK and gave it from new to my Grandfather, her only son — Hugh Lang, in 1923 to play with whilst he was up at Pembroke College, Cambridge! Lucky chap... I am sure there is a photo which I will try and dig out. She also provided him with a Max Le Verrier radiator mascot known as Vautour (Vulture in French), which we have and would be happy to sell to reacquaint it with the vehicle!" — Oct 2, 2014
"We have found a couple of interesting photographs of my Grandfather with his undergraduate toy, which I will have converted to a digital medium and will forward on to you as soon as possible." — Oct 3, 2014
"Herewith photo of my Grandfather, Hugh Lang, with 3 litre Bentley." — Oct 5, 2014
Hugh Lang also owned Chassis SR1423 in 1926.

Believed to be an 'unknown' 3 litre in India, auto historian Wayne M.Kennerley has identified this car to be chassis no. 432.
The car is presently in or around the city of Kolkata (formerly called Calcutta). It belonged to a car collector, Protap Roy, (Maharajkumar of Santosh?), who died in 1991. Gautam Sen, editor of 'Auto India' magazine remembers a modified Bentley being raced at the Alipore airfield track in the 1970s.
Wayne Kennerly advises further research of the following BDC Reviews: No. 68 p. 64, No. 89 p.151, No. 105 p.191.
