1923 Bentley 3 Litre L
Chassis No. 268
Engine No. 267
Registration No. PD 6045
Ch 268 has unknown body, 1st owner listed as 'Major Whately'. This might be an understandable error for the dealer Gordon Watney. If so, Ch 268 might be the Salmons center-door saloon shown in The Autocar, 27 July 1923 (date is about right), which Watney & Co delivered to 'Mr. Clough'. No Clough or Salmons in relevant chassis dates, though J. Clough had earlier Ch 117, an allweather from Wilton Carriage of Croydon.
