1923 Bentley 3 Litre S
"Attached is a poor image of 1923 3L saloon Chassis 220, registration XN8184 (2 wheel brakes)... The car was reportedly sold for scrap in 1939 for the princely sum of £7! As far as I know, the chassis has not been resurrected."

The son of the 1930s owner has a brithday card from his father (featuring the front of the car) on which is written: "I bought it (the car - CJC) for £15 when at Bexhill (Kent, about 1936) and brought it to Windsor in 1938. Sold for scrap - £7 in 1939, the aluminium to make Spitfires! Rear wheel brakes only. At least one of the spare wheels was quite rotten." The son still has the dashboard clock of this car.
