Late Hamish Morten's 3/4½ is now being sold. Completed by Tim Abbott and Randal Stewart 3 years ago, when it won its first race; also won awards on the track, hillclimbs and sprints. Lightness = Performance, so highly competitive but also for the family man who wants to drive across continents or to Monte Carlo. All major components original and numbered, but new crank, rods, pistons etc. All weighing 17cwt/850kg."

"1923 3/4½ ltr Speed Model THE LIGHTWEIGHT BENTLEY
Registration Number: WO 1928 Chassis Number: 184 Engine Number: PM 3262
Price: £ POA
You are looking at a Vintage Bentley that not only encompasses that enthusiasm, camaraderie, and tremendous spirit that has prevailed within the Bentley Driver’s Club from day one, but also one of the fastest Vintage Bentleys in the world.
The website www.thelightweightbentley.com tells the remarkable and outrageous story of this car, but in short it’s skimpier than a supermodel’s nightie and has a 0-60 time of 6 seconds. Superbly engineered and weighing in at 16.75 cwt a - little under half the weight of a standard 3 Litre Bentley -she is ideal for racing, sprinting or fast touring."
